Joint Commission Accreditation (JCAHO)

More and more insurance companies are now requiring a Joint Commission Accreditation (JCAHO) for entry into treatment programs. The high level of care that some insurance companies are now demanding is the reason why. If your center is not accredited by either JCAHO, you could be losing clients and your insurance claims may be denied or placed in review for long periods of time.

JCAHO standards are a basis for the evaluation process for addiction treatment centers. This process includes a means to measure, assess and improve the performance of your center. JCAHO standards focus on the critical patient, individual, or resident care as well as organizational functions critical in delivering safe, high quality and effective addiction care. The JCAHO innovative standards set the expectation for addiction treatment centers' performance that are reasonable and achievable.
